AHHHH!!!! The Colosseum. Vittorio Emanuele II Monument. Piazza della Repubblica. Castel Sant' Angelo. Trevi Fountain!!!!!! Staint Peter's Basillica. The Pantheon!!! Talk about history dork. The Roman Empire is one of my biggest obsessions. I mean, duh, the Empire was more than just the city. But ... it's Rome! It's the center, the heart, the birth site! Did I mention... The Vatican Museums!
As a former art student, the amount of art and architecture in this city makes my toes curl like little potato bugs. I would have to spend a whole week just walking around and taking it all in. The Italian Renaissance has to be my favorite time period for art and architecture, and the city has tons of examples of this. I would get to see stuff by the Ninja Turtle artists! (You know.. Leo, Raph, Mike, and Don)
Then there is the food. I mean.. it's freaking Italy! Oh.... THE FOOD! Haha. And not just good food, but good food that is made well.
So.. I think I pretty much summed it up to history sites... and food. Haha. It doesn't take much.
